SalaryPOSITION: Reading Tutor – Remote Work
Syllables Learning Center provides individualized tutoring to help students overcome learning differences including dyslexia, ADHD, and working memory deficits. With our extensively trained tutors and Orton-Gillingham based curriculum, we get to the heart of learning issues and create lifelong, happy learners. In the past 20 years, Syllables has helped thousands of students learn to read!
This position is for a reading tutor who would work with students remotely. Help us change lives! Extensive training will be provided. We need tutors to work remotely Monday through Thursday 3:00-7:30pm EST (1:00-5:30pm MT) and Saturday mornings 10:30am-1:30pm EST (8:30am-11:30am MT).
Over the summer, you have the option to work additional hours: Monday through Thursday 11:30am-7:30pm EST (9:30am-5:30pm MT) and Saturday mornings 10:30am-1:30pm EST (8:30am-11:30pm MT).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Dedication and empathy. Provide a positive and welcoming environment so our students are available to learn
- Experience with the Google platform and Zoom (document sharing, etc.)
- Exceptionally flexible. Ability to meet a student’s academic and emotional needs
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- At-home technology with exceptional webcam, hi-speed internet, and a quiet (distraction free) area for lesson delivery.
PAY AND SCHEDULE
As independent contractors, you can set your own schedule and work on the days of the week that fit your calendar. Pay starts at $20 per hour.
