Job Type: Part-time

Salary:$25to 27 per hour

Schedules:

• Math: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Tuesday and Thursday
• Reading: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• 4 hours shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning Shift
• Weekend as needed

Location: Varnett Public Schools in Houston TX (8305 Mesa Road Houston, TX 77028)

Job Duties:

• Facilitate groups of classes and assist students in targeted subject areas
• Contribute to a friendly and productive classroom environment
• Model and promote a growth mindset and encourage a collaborative learning environment
• Create and manage resources
• Meet regularly with the supervisor
• Host workshops on selected topics

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, English, mathematics)
• Must be fingerprinted by a School District
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, or education is highly desirable.
• Patience and the ability to work with students of diverse learning styles.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to the needs of individual students.
• Must be able to commit to schedules
• Has a personal vehicle
• Must be living in the area where classes are held
• Experience with children is preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of languages (required if applying for language instructor positions)
