Summary
About the Position: Serves as the Troop Command - Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, S-3 Digital Training Management System Manager, providing advice and consultation to directorates, leaders, and operators.
This position is a TEMPORARY Not to Exceed 12 months position and may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years.

Duties
  • Provides guidance for digital systems to enable commanders to create training calendars, schedules, battle rosters, and after-action reports.
  • Prepares or publishes standard operating procedures, system function descriptions, and troubleshoots instructions.
  • Develops training material and schedules training classes to include the use of training management tools such as database development, data reporting formats, data training systems, And Training analysis tools.
  • Responsible for organizing any on-site training or conference requirements to include procuring facilities, instructors, equipment, and security requirements.
  • Reviews training plans and programs of subordinate headquarters and provides guidance to improve the quality of training and to ensure compliance with directives.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting with the operations of a digital training system for both military and civilian personnel; providing advice and recommendations on the sustainment of the system; and assisting with the coordination of training requirements for all personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Education
