Sheppard Pratt School in Lanham is a nonpublic special education day school providing educational, therapeutic, and daily living services to students ages 5 to 21 with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other health impairments.

What can you expect?
You will assist the School Behavior Specialist and program staff in support of behavior programming and implementation.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Assisting in completion of Individualized Education Program (IEP) documentation such as goals, The Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) progress notes, and data summaries.
- Collaborating with treatment teams on a regular basis, including providing ongoing feedback and open communication.
- Completing summaries of behavior data and assisting staff in the data entry of behavior data.
The school operates on a year-round schedule, with ample breaks built in including:
- Major Federal holidays
- Spring break – 1 week
- Two summer breaks – 3 weeks total
- Winter holiday – 1 week

What we need from you
- This position requires one of the following education and experience combinations:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 6 months’ experience working with children with behavior analysis needs.
- An associate degree in a related field at least 2 years of experience working with children with behavioral analysis needs.
- A high school degree and at least 4 years of experience working with children with behavioral analysis needs.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred.
