Job Description
Our client in coastal South Carolina is growing its R&D organization and is looking to hire a Director for their group. This client has been in business for over 60 years, they are privately held, growing double digits, and financially stable.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing two sites with 5 direct reports, building a strong R&D team, leading commercialization efforts, reformulations, helping drive innovation within their current manufacturing infrastructure, and working with customers for R&D solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Food Manufacturing experience
- a 4-year degree preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related science. Masters is preferred
- Ideal experience in shelf-stable, frozen, ingredient, flavorings, or high acid
- Experience in a Management or Leadership type role
