The Ranger Supervisor will serve as supervisor and relief to the Ranger Manager for the Safety Department. The Ranger Supervisor is a full time EMT that serves as a management representative for the park. The supervisor will assist the manager in training the safety staff in medical incidents for guests/employees and park safety procedures.
This positions requires a valid EMT Certification and availability on weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a leader and role-model when responding to emergency and non-emergency calls and delivers high quality patient care and customer service within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and company policies.
- Respond to safety related incidents within the park (theft, disputes, etc.). Intercede and de-escalate conflicts between both employees and guests.
- Perform proper documentation and incident investigations for the variety of incidents in the park.
- Delegate duties and assist in the daily operation of the safety staff.
- Know and enforce all safety rules for SkyPark at Santas Village, including SkyPark Weddings and SkyPark Camp & RV Resort.
- More than 70% of shift is spend outdoors and performed during inclement weather and on challenging terrain.
- May be required to lift up to 250lbs (with assistance).
- Assist in monitoring performance of staff and submit written or verbal reports as required or requested.
- Perform and train safety staff to document and investigate incidents involving guests and employees.
- Maintain medical supplies for Safety Office and first aid kits throughout park.
- Reviews and approves all incident reports and supporting documents. Compiles all supporting documentation including but not limited to; videos, photos, releases, etc.)
- Notifies management immediately of high profile and/or high exposure incidents.
- May be exposed to body fluids and other biohazards and are expected to use universal precautions to avoid contamination. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and bending.
- Must attend all Leadership Team Meetings.
- Additional duties designated by the Ranger Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
Qualifications
- Emergency Medical Responder certification or higher.
- CPR (BLS or Professional Rescuer) certification.
- Prior emergency medical responder related experience.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Work cooperatively with other departments.
- Ability to write in a professional manner.
- Word processing and computer skills needed.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to interact with guests and employees in a professional manner regardless of the situation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
