Ranch Hand/Laborer

Possible tasks and/or projects could include (but are not limited to):

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of fences, gates, and other ranch infrastructure.
• Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, loaders, and trucks for various ranch operations.
• Perform general maintenance tasks around the ranch, such as mowing, weed control, raking, snow removal, pool maintenance and landscaping,
• General remodel/construction labor: painting; installation of appliances; picking up materials at lumberyards.

Soft Skills:

• Must enjoy working outside, whether summer or winter
• Not afraid of hard work
• Accepts constructive correction
• Intuitive and aware of what needs to be done
• Excellent listening skills
• Willing to ask clarifying questions when not understanding a task
• Good recall skills, i.e. keeps good notes or good memory of instructions

Qualifications:

• Available to work Saturdays (if needed) for a deadline
• Lives within 30 – 45 minutes and has reliable transportation
• Experience working with various tools (general hand tools; and/or painting, construction, electrical, and plumbing tools)
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor is required. Heavy lifting of heavy objects or equipment as required for ranch tasks; minimum 50lbs.

Bonus Skills:

• Equine: Experience working with horses or other equine animals.
• Heavy equipment operation: Proficiency in operating tractors, loaders, trucks, or other heavy machinery.
• Maintain: Skill in maintaining ranch infrastructure, including fences, gates, and landscaping.

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
