SUMMARY
Responsible for all aspects of the AR Coating process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives, cleans, and inspects lenses prior to coating process.
- Operates robotic clean line, changes soap and filters as needed.
- Burnishes lenses
- Loads and unloads machines
- Visually inspects lenses and coating after processing to ensure color and quality meet company standards
- Monitors supplies of materials necessary for coating and notifies the appropriate person when ordering is required.
- Operates AR coating machine.
- Programs and monitors machine computer, solves problems as needed.
- Performs routine maintenance an machines, including beam filament change and Main tank cleaning.
- Manages the scheduling of machines
- Operates bead blaster.
- Communicates problems to Production Manager
- Responsible for keeping workstations clean and organized
- Perform routine/preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to maximize efficiency, minimize accidents to enhance longer life of equipment and tools
- initiates communication with customers as needed
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma
- 2 plus years working in an optical manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- The ability to communication openly with others and work as a team.
- Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed.
- Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to understand and implement work instructions.
- Must be able to understand basic job work tickets.
- The ability to do simple/basic math
- Work without supervision
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program.
- Closed toe shoe required with heel support
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment may require P.P.E.
- Safety glasses and long sleeve shirts may be required where needed.
