Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Transcriptionist documents advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Cardiac Cath Lab Transcriptionists are responsible for monitoring, and assisting other Cardiac Cath Lab personnel as requested. Cardiac Cath Lab Transcriptionist respond with the team to patient distress situations and assist with equipment quality control and inventory management.
Other information:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in the medical field or post-secondary educational program in a health science or related field preferred.
- American Heart Association ACLS required within 3 months of hire
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Basic EKG interpretation
- Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology
- Expert computer skills
- High: Read and write English
- High: Ability to learn and use multiple imaging hemodynamic and medical record systems
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
