Radiology Technologist

Job OverviewThis position is responsible for providing Dexa (Bone Density) testing to patients. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform radiology procedures: DEXAs/Bone Densities
• Complete Pre-Registration with patients prior to testing
• Prepare and clean DEXA room as needed
• Unpack samples/supplies, put away and re-stock as necessary
• Prepare for appointments making sure any authorizations are completed when required by insurance
• Appropriately interact with patients, providers, and other staff
• Respond to patient phone calls and provider tasks in timely manner
• Maintain compliance for all radiology practices and credentialing of our DEXA machines
• Schedule appointments, obtain benefits and review costs with patients where necessary, light scanning of records
• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills

ARRT license or Machine Operators license (ARRT preferred)

• Prior radiology experience, DEXA experience preferred

• Knowledge of medical office systems and procedures, EMR

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Friendly, team player, excellent collaborator, and communicator
