About this Position
Join our team as a Radio Program Technical Supervisor and play a crucial role in supporting public safety communications for Lane County and its partner agencies. As part of our dynamic team, you will oversee both UHF trunked and VHF radio networks, ensuring seamless communication for first responders and public sector organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate in setting goals, strategies, and policies for public safety communication systems in Lane County.
  • Foster partnerships with the Lane County Fire Defense Board Radio Oversight groups to meet the communication needs of fire agencies.
  • Work closely with vendors to upgrade the existing fire radio system.
  • Manage program budgets, contracts, and RFPs for services.
  • Identify and apply for grant opportunities to enhance communication infrastructure.
  • Coordinate interagency teams and prioritize work, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and administer regional radio system goals and initiatives.

  • Proficiency in accounting principles, including journal entries, funds, accounts, and billing techniques.
  • Expertise in team management, encompassing conflict resolution, goal setting, and adhering to Community of Practice Standards.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Experience:

  • Four years of professional experience directly related to area assigned, including lead or supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Project Management Certificate
  • ICS Training
