Job Description
Responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments. Perform treatment simulations, fabricates all necessary shielding blocks, and maintain accurate EMR. Prepares equipment for patient treatments performing quality control and assurance tests, ensuring proper infection control techniques, and adheres to optimal radiation safety and protection practices. All activities reflect the philosophy, goals, objectives and standards of McLaren and nationally accepted standards of practice, provisions of quality patient care, environmental safety and inter-disciplinary cooperation. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of an AMA accredited course of study in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- Certification as a Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT). If not registered at hire, must be within six (6) months.
Health system-wide profile standards
- References NOT required.
- A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred.
- Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit, it would be in the traveler’s best interest to provide a write-up of what happened for the manager's review.
- Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above.
