JOB TITLE: R&D Engineers (multiple positions available)

JOB LOCATION: Beltsville, MD

Closing Date: Until Filled

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate/lead for developing innovative designs of Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies, vibration controls, and robotic systems in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Project experience on digital engineering, condition based maintenance, predictive algorithm development including machine learning and artificial intelligence, and modeling and validation.
• Support/lead laboratory, shipboard, and airborne tests of advanced prototype systems and manufacturing processes.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results.  Prepare technical proposals, reports, and present briefings to management, customers, etc.
• Help mentor junior engineers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Mid - Senior-level positions

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Ocean Engineering.
• 5 – 15 years of cumulative professional experience in Defense and/or commercial industry. 

For recent college graduates:

• Advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Ocean Engineering
• Relevant thesis/research projects.
