2K Consulting provides bookkeeping and payroll processing services to small businesses. We are looking to add an additional bookkeeper to our team. Both full and part time hours are available. This is a unique opportunity in a laid back, but professional office environment (must be ok with our 5lb barking mascots).
About You
This is not an entry level position. It is a unique, fast paced, challenging position. We are looking for candidates that possess a very specific skill set and a desire to grow in a position where they’ll never be bored. While training related to specifics on each client will be provided, you’ll need prior experience with QuickBooks (both desktop and online) and an understanding of accounting (debits, credits, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements) prior to joining our team.

About the Position
No two days are ever the same in this position. You will be working with a wide variety of clients in many different industries. Our services are tailored to each client’s specific needs.
Duties may include:
· Entering financial transactions in QuickBooks – desktop and online versions
· Reviewing and correcting data (as needed) entered by clients in QuickBooks
· Reconciling accounts in QuickBooks
· Accounts Receivable – produce invoices, cash receipts, deposits
· Accounts Payable – input & pay bills, expense categorization, job costing, 1099 prep
· Prepare and process sales tax returns
· Monitor deadlines to ensure compliance
· Communicating with business owners to obtain necessary details and documentation
· Maintaining electronic storage for all client documents
· Developing best practices and implementation of standard operating procedures
· Creating custom reports using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
This position offers flexible hours during normal business hours M-F with a focus on work and family/life balance. We pride ourselves on our relaxed, laid back, inclusive environment.
