The Reno County Education Cooperative is seeking a Long Term Substitute to fill a Special Education teaching vacancy from February 1, 2024 through May 16, 2024 at Buhler High School. This position includes providing instruction to High School students for Consumer Math, Resource Pre-Algebra, Resource Algebra, and study skills. This position is full time, but part-time applicants will be considered.
Education and/or Experience:
- Requires a current Kansas Teaching license (endorsement in Special Education or math preferred), but all certifications will be considered
- OR a current Kansas Substitute license
- Requires an ability to work cooperatively and constructively with others, including the ability to communicate effectively with a broad audience.
- Requires an ability to manage job responsibilities and meet the established district outcomes.
- Requires an ability to use district-identified computer hardware and software and other district-provided technology as needed.

- Physical requirements included prolonged sitting, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.

- Requires ability to follow a flexible schedule.
- Significant fine finger dexterity.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a temporary position to fill a vacancy for the rest of the school year. This position is not benefit-eligible.
Salary is $112 per day and increases to $220.27 per day after 10 days and is retroactive to the first day of subbing.
