Job description

Aon is looking for a Quantitative Analyst in Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
  • A Quantitative Analyst uses technical, analytical, and communication skills to support senior members in the execution and production of all internal and external client deliverables
  • Maintain a high level of competence on all analytical models/systems used within investment structure team
  • Maintain familiarity with Aon investment beliefs and advisory positions on various topics
  • Assist with the production of asset allocation studies, portfolio structure reviews, quantitative analytics, and other ad-hoc projects
  • Develop and maintain investment collateral supporting various team deliverables
  • Exhibits a keen attention to detail and ensures accurate and high-quality deliverables
  • Manages multiple/concurrent projects and deadlines
  • Reviews and finalizes work submitted by junior colleagues

Qualifications:
  • Outstanding technical and analytical skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent understanding of finance theory and investments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and specific software packages (e.g., Style Research, Bloomberg, eVestment, Bloomberg Barclays Capital Live, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment on a variety of projects, receive instructions from a number of people, and meet project deadlines
  • Advanced writing and communication skills desired
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area (e.g., business, finance, economics)
  • Encouraged to be working toward relevant advanced degree and/or CFA and/or Quant credentials
  • 3+ years of investment space experience

Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $107,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
