The primary purpose of this position is to execute tasks that keep products flowing through the warehouse. Making sure that all pallet production builds are up to our standards and then wrap and store/ship them. Make sure that production has all the materials needed - whether it's from a rack or from a different storage warehouse. Loading and unloading trucks; properly filling out paperwork; inspecting incoming and outgoing products/materials; occasionally going to our other warehouses to load/unload trucks; assist in conducting inventory. Material Handler must be committed to following the SQF food safety standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Make sure production pallets meet our standards; restack or replace bags/boxes if needed.
Work within the Netsuite system to create and execute shipments and shipment paperwork (packing lists and BOLs)
Ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded in a timely, safe, and clean manner
Inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy
Ensure organization, cleanliness, and proper labeling in all areas of the warehouse including the loading dock area
Ensure appropriate paperwork, authorizations (signatures), and checklists accompany all incoming and outgoing shipments
Ensure proper handling and storage of all incoming shipments
Loading/unloading trucks using forklifts or manual pallet jacks
Maintaining forklift cleanliness and watered
Assist production with processing finished goods during receiving downtime
Complying with all certification and food safety standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in all areas of the warehouse
Complying with all certifications, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards
Report to management any potential food safety issues and non-conforming products
Report to management/supervisor of any unsafe conditions or acts that affect health and physical safety.
Attend staff admin meetings and relay important information
Other duties as assigned
