Quality Control Inspector - Placement tests will be utilized to ascertain suitability for the position.
M-F (7am-3:30pm)
Requirements:
- - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe software.
- - Ability to meticulously follow written instructions.
- - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
- - Previous experience in an ISO 9001, AS9100, or TS16949 certified environment.
- - Self-starter with the capability to follow detailed instructions independently.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the laboratory in an organized and tidy manner.
- Operate production equipment as necessary for testing purposes.
- Conduct and document hardness testing, visual inspections, and other in-process/final inspections.
- Perform routine testing of critical equipment and document results according to prescribed schedules (e.g., daily, weekly).
- Assist Quality Assistant/Engineer (QA/E) as needed.
- Conduct weekly departmental inventory checks and communicate any shortages to the QA/E for replenishment.
- Alert the QA/E to any unusual problems or irregularities.
- Uphold safety protocols and promote good housekeeping practices.
- This role offers opportunities for cross-training and skill development in both manufacturing and quality assurance fields.
Growth Opportunities:
- Attain certification through the Metal Treating Institute in the heat treating field as a quality and/or technical specialist.
- Obtain certification through the American Society for Quality (ASQ) in a quality-related field as an inspector, technician, and/or engineer.
Work Environment:
- The manufacturing environment is non-climate controlled and subject to varying temperatures, ranging from hot to cold depending on the season.
