Quality Technician
Level I
SUMMARY:
The Quality Technician Level I will support Production by means of ensuring parts/products have been inspected and found to be acceptable prior advancing to the next stage (AKA: Fitting/Welding/Sandblast/Paint/Shipment). The goal of this position is to help catch problems early in the production phase and to help the Quality Department be readily available as production needs arise.
REPORTS TO:
· Quality Manager
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
· Conduct inspections on part Fit-Up/Layout as required
· Provide support to the Quality Manager
· Assist in other tasks as directed
ACCOUNTABILITIES & PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
· Produce accurate documentation as required
· Clear and accurate communication
· Diplomatic and problem solving mindset
· Compliant with Health & Safety policies and procedures
· Maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED:
· High School Diploma
· Extremely detail oriented
· Ability to accurately read a tape measure
· Ability to understand basic drawings/blueprints
· Quality experience - required
· Fitter (Structural or Pipe) / Welder experience - preferred
· Leadership experience – preferred
· Any Certifications (I.E. CWI, ASNT, CQI, etc.) - preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that are expected for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Combination of sitting, standing and walking for 8-10 hours per day
· Employee may occasionally be exposed to moderate noise levels when out in the plant environment
· The employee may have to do some light lifting or movement of components or materials
· Have specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63,000.00 per year
