Job Description:
Major purpose:
- Designs plans and performs verifications for parts assemblies or products appearance dimension and functionality according to inspection plans engineering standards and blue prints for manufactured and purchased material of medium to high complexity.
- Improves quality activities by using quality systems with a complete scope and depth.
- May program coordinate measuring machines.
- May work direct wage inspectors. (Experience at the Quality Technician I job with an overall knowledge of product functionality engineering specifications and manufacturing processes).
- Facilitates validates and audits the quality processes for medium complexity manufacturing processes such as single step machining and sub-assemblies.
- Performs quality verifications audits and medium complexity special investigations.
Major duties:
- Designs plans and performs parts assemblies or product appearance dimension and functionality verifications according to the inspection plans engineering standards programming using medium complex measuring systems.
- Plans develops and reports process quality audits.
- Investigates audit findings related issues.
- Gathers and keeps data regarding investigations.
- Gathers and analyzes databases draws conclusions summarizes reports suggests and implements corrective actions to improve or solve low- medium complex problems.
- Acts as a liaison between quality organization and all other areas.
- Follows-up on the accomplishment of corrective and preventative actions.
- Assists in reporting and following-up on the disposition of non- conformance material.
- Performs special investigations of low-medium complexity quality problems to get data find root causes suggest and implement solutions or engineering changes.
- Assists supervisor in coordinating work direction of wage inspectors.
Shift:
- 1st shift position, 40 hours/week. No OT expected at this time
Specific Position Requirements:
- Works with supply team
- Quality hold- when parts come in, approved documentation parts get held in SAP
- Using SAP/spreadsheet
- Monitoring P-PAP spreadsheet/follow up with supplier on quality documentation
- Engineering deviation creating in SAP
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree or Associates with equivalent work experience in a similar field
- Years of Experience Required: 3
Top Must Haves:
- Must be a self-starter, have good communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Strengths in documentation and organization
Other desired attributes but not required:
- Understanding of quality systems/tools, including the PPAP process
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- SAP experience
