JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments of materials and finished goods.
- Document assessments and maintain records in both hard copy and electronic formats.
- Perform physical tests and measurements on materials and products.
- Conduct environmental assessments of the facility and surroundings.
- Assume temporary managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical/trade schooling or related apprenticeship.
- Proficient in operating various tools and test equipment.
- Familiarity with setting up and operating production equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings (blueprints).
- Strong communication skills.
- Capable of hands-on work and equipment setup.
- Competence in operating equipment like Tensile Tester, Multi-meter, Electronic Thermometer, etc.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 70 pounds and moving objects up to 300 pounds with mechanical aids.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and engage in various body movements.
- Proficiency in English for conducting business.
- Mathematical skills for measuring and machine setup, including unit conversions and spreadsheet calculations.
- Good eyesight for fine print, color distinction, and interpreting drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining production equipment.
- Strong understanding of equipment and the ability to enhance production quality.
- Preferred qualifications:
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Activities primarily in a production shop environment, including storage and shipping areas.
- Presence of running machinery and temperature variations.
- Recommended use of eye, hearing, and particle mask protection.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Uphold and promote Quality Assurance practices throughout the plant.
- Efficiently coordinate quality assurance activities within their scope of responsibility.
- Communicate daily with the Quality Assurance Manager to address any issues.
- Ensure compliance with standards set by the President across all process phases.
- Ensure timely performance of duties by employees under their supervision and provide necessary training.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and operational condition.
