Second Shift Quality Control Technician

Job Summary:
Newly Weds Foods is hiring a Second Shift QC Technician for our Watertown plant! We provide ingredients to some of the biggest brand names in the country. The Quality Control Technician performs functions directed towards controlling incoming ingredient quality, finished product quality, and overall Quality Control programs and special projects. All Quality Control Technicians report to the Quality Control supervisor. Come and have a great paying career in food manufacturing with us! Note: This position requires ability to work overtime and Saturdays
Essential Functions:

• Performs line checks and magnet checks on a schedule and accurately reports all findings.
• Is trained to check control points and critical control points and works with Production Supervisor to resolve issues.
• Performs activities to meet the audit schedules and needs.
• Escalates issues with product or control points as needed to the appropriate leadership
• Works with QC supervisor or leads in any Internal and External Audits and assist in the direction of the audit team to ensure compliance for NWF to ensure a successful audit completion.
• Reviews data from their shift to validate testing, troubleshooting, lab testing and floor verifications, ensuring that data is accurately and completely recorded.
• Works with R&D, QC management and others to ensure documentation/records meet standards.
• Makes sure data is recorded/maintained and prepare forms, records, and logs as needed. Maintain such as required.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one to three years of working in the manufacturing. Knowledge of GMP and HACCP related topics is a plus!
• Strong communication, analytical abilities and organizational skills.
• General knowledge of Adobe applications and Microsoft Office.
