Job Description
We are currently seeking a Quality Specialist who will be passionate about helping establish, maintain, and manage Quality Systems. More specifically, the individual will closely across various functional groups to help establish process around documentation and record management, as well as training compliance. This position will report to the Senior Quality Manager, as such the Quality Specialist is accountable for support of the continued development, improvement and implementation of the Quality Systems as well as maintaining compliance with regulations, standards, and corporate requirements. The Quality System Specialist is the subject matter expert (SME) for documentation and record management. The Quality System Specialist will also be accountable for assisting with the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), as appropriate. The Quality Specialist will aid in developing policies, procedures and methods to control and improve quality systems.
Essential activities of this position
- Develop procedure to establish the appropriate set of controls around documentation and record management.
- Monitor and report training compliance metric for the site and ensure conformance with organization goals.
- Collaborate with functional process owners to train, mentor and/or facilitate QMS requirements, continuous process improvement and audit support.
- Organize the routing of documents throughout the process from conceptualization, approvals, and distribution.
- Participate and represent Quality group on projects, implementations and initiatives associated with improvement goals, annual Quality objectives, integration and optimization as assigned.

Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering, Science or related discipline preferred or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 3+ years relevant experience or a combination of equivalent education and relevant experience in a regulated industry within Quality, Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing.
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
- Self-motivated and directed, requiring minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work in teams to obtain results.
- Effective skills in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Experience training operators on new quality procedures
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: Industry Recognized certification in a Quality System Element specialty (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, etc.) preferred.
- ISO 9001:2015 QMS understanding.

- This position will be subject to mostly controlled but potential varying internal environmental conditions, including changes in temperature and noise that are within acceptable safety levels common to a warehouse environment.
- Work may involve long-term standing, sitting and frequent walking throughout areas such as warehouse, assembly or machine shop and navigating common hazards related to these areas.
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
