The Quality & Regulatory Analyst is skilled in the quality, food safety and regulatory fields, with a focus on the improvement of processes in these areas to reduce cost and risk.

The position includes in-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Food Safety Management Systems (including Pet Food and Pharma requirements), Hazardous Chemical Reporting and Federal and State-level Regulatory Requirements applicable to products commercialized by ChemPoint to support the company's strategic plans in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

 

What you'll do

  • Supports internal stakeholders by providing guidance, direction and interpretation of quality standards and systems, Health and Safety Laws and regulations.

  • Serves as a primary point of escalation internally and externally for all Quality & Regulatory Compliance-related issues

  • Carry out activities vital to maintain ChemPoint's Quality and Food Safety Programs for a given scope of products. May act as Food Safety Practitioner, as applicable.

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures, including reporting all hazards to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment is maintained.

  • Partners with cross-functional leaders to ensure processes, systems, and policies are in place.

  • Supports the qualification (approval) of new suppliers and new products.

  • Leads or assists in the development or updating of company policies and standard operating procedures in alignment with applicable regulations.

  • Implements Quality & Regulatory projects and initiatives, at times facilitating or supporting projects or initiatives of cross-functional scope.

  • Analyzes and interprets quality and regulatory applicable trends to determine needs and adjust project/process requirements as necessary.

  • May assist with product releases and maintenance of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

 

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, Business Administration, or related fields from a fully accredited four-year institution

  • 5+ years' experience in Quality/Regulatory or related field.

  • Experience working for ISO9001:2015 certified facilities of other highly regulated Quality Systems preferred.

  • Experience working for GFSI-compliant facilities preferred (FSSC22000 or BRC, or SQF or IFS certification)

  • PCQI & FSVP certification preferred.

  • Solid understanding of corporate, federal, state and local regulatory requirements for product, environmental, and general regulatory compliance.

  • Knowledge and experience working with Safety Data Sheets and Excel.

  • Good general understanding of business and management principles.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.

  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving ability.

  • Exhibits versatility when interacting with customers, suppliers, and outsourced relationships.

 

Where you'll work

This is a hybrid role. Office location: Bellevue, WA. Preference for candidates located in Bellevue,WA / Seattle,WA area.

 

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $73,690 - $114,230. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.  Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental.  We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
