Job Summary: The Quality Manager oversees the quality control process, fosters excellence within the production team, and supervises the release of new products from engineering. Additionally, they collaborate with the Operations Manager on various projects and initiatives to uphold operational efficiency and quality standards.
Responsibilities
· Manage and direct the hardware quality department, ensuring that products conform to newly developed and established standards.
· Analyze and investigate the root cause and effect of any quality issues and develop long-term corrective actions.
· Compose work instructions, written training documents, and any other administrative reporting.
· Review, improve, and define quality metrics, monitor product quality, and establish quality audits to enhance overall product performance.
· Possess deductive troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
· Collaborate with production, engineering, and service technician teams to resolve quality issues, providing technical support and training as needed.
· Review all engineering designs and documentation before final release, including Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR).
· Identify improvement opportunities and develop methods to resolve problems occurring during quality assurance (QA).
· Manage the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process.
· Document production issues and highlight recurring problems to management.
· Take ownership of machine quality as units pass through QA.
· Support production leads and technicians in interpreting and following set standards.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· Excellent management and communication skills.
· Proficient in Windows 10 and MS Office applications. (Word, Excel, etc.)
· Enjoys hands-on and fast-paced work environment while managing multiple projects.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Knowledge and understanding of CAD design, Mechanical Engineering Drawing and GD&T.
· Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
Education and Experience:
· Associate degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
· Minimum of two years’ experience in electrical manufacturing environment or quality engineering.
· Minimum of at least two years of supervisory experience required.
· ERP systems experience is a plus.
· Prior experience in a computer-based gaming industry is a plus.
