What You'll Do
As the Quality Manager, you will continuously improve business processes in order to increase customer service performance (OTIF), build manufacturing flexibility, and support profitable business growth. You will apply high-level problem-solving skills in the resolution of the highest value problems or opportunities identified by the site. Other duties include:

• Promote, foster and demand an environment of Zero Harm through coaching and leading by example - SAFETY as the NUMBER 1 PRIORITY!
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations
• Lives and fosters the Incitec Pivot Limited (IPL) values and supports site leadership team to instill these values into our business culture.
• Supports Quality initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.
• Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
• Persuasive and negotiation skills, performance management and counseling skills.
• Plans and prepares special instructions for areas of responsibility
• Support with proposals on the behalf of Dyno Nobel Inc for the requested materials, goods, or services from potential and existing vendors.
• Work with production management to address all customer complaints and investigations
• Oversee work with production management to maintain ISO certification.
• Relays quality issues with the vendor and work with the vendor to resolve past and current issues while avoiding future ones
• Manage, develop and coach direct reports, including development and performance.
• Represent the company during product quality investigations and mitigation. Initiate and coordinate product quality research to meet customer requirements.
• Make recommendations to Staff and other teams on deployment approach and activities to achieve optimal outcome/result.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related Field or equivalent role-based experience
• 5 years of relevant industry experience in technical and/or leadership roles.
• Ability to gather, manipulate and analyze data to make data driven decisions that yield the best possible business outcome
• SAP experience desired
• Ability to work through Military Specifications for products, materials and components.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Level or equivalent applied problem-solving capability minimum.
• Ability to work well in a team environment within a matrix organization
• Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
