The Quality Management / Audit Specialist is responsible for ensuring quality standards and procedures are implemented and maintained across an organization. This role involves developing and implementing quality management frameworks, conducting audits and inspections to assess compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Management / Audit Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to quality standards and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Management: Develop and implement quality management frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices. Establish quality metrics and benchmarks for performance evaluation and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct regular audits and inspections across departments and processes to identify non-compliance with quality standards, regulations, and company policies. Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance operational efficiencies, reduce errors, and minimize waste. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality audits, findings, and corrective actions. Generate reports on quality performance, trends, and compliance status to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees are aware of quality standards, procedures, and compliance requirements. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to staff members to promote a culture of quality excellence.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate and select suppliers and vendors based on quality criteria. Conduct quality audits on external partners and ensure adherence to contractual quality requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations and standards. Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including ISO standards and other quality certifications.
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions: Identify and recommend corrective and preventive actions to address quality non-compliance. Track and monitor the implementation of corrective actions to ensure effectiveness and closure of non-conformities.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities that may impact quality standards and work with stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies. Assess and monitor risks associated with quality management processes and systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, departments, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of quality excellence and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in quality management, quality audits, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, standards, and best practices, such as ISO 9001.
  • Experience in conducting quality audits and inspections, and preparing detailed reports and findings.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and tools, such as data analysis and visualization software, is an advantage.
