Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure product conformance
- Conduct quality audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation
- Train and mentor junior quality assurance inspectors
- Analyze data and generate reports on quality performance metrics
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality management systems
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and conducting inspections
- Experience with QA/QC methodologies and tools
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Skills:
- Read, interpret blue-print drawings in accordance with DOD-STD-100.
- Perform surface plate measurements using height stand with indicator- improvise holding fixtures.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM)
- Analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving
Must be experienced in use of MS Word, MS Excel (3-5 years).
-Workable understanding of mathematical concepts such as trigonometry.
Must be able to assist with inspectors and set-ups and instructions in measurement equipment and the technique of measurement of specific characteristics.
