Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to and implementation of Company Safety and Work rules.
- Perform inspection operations in various areas, including Final Inspection, Heat Treat Inspection, Plating Inspection, Receiving QC Inspection, Pre/Post OSP Inspection, In-Process Inspection, and First Article Inspection.
- Create nonconformance documentation (NCRs) for discrepancies detected at any inspection stage and remove discrepant material from production areas.
- Maintain and support SQDC metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) in assigned areas.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements, procedural compliance, and defect reporting, acting as a liaison between production associates and quality requirements.
- Maintain inspection data during daily inspections and ensure proper paperwork placement at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US Person with US permanent residence (US Citizen or Green card holder).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing accountability.
- 2-3 years of previous Aerospace DSQR experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of AS9102 (FAI's) First Article Inspection process, and Quality Planning tools (including SPC, GR&R, Cpk, GD&T, DMAIC, First Piece Inspection, Cost of Quality).
- Understanding and basic knowledge of aviation industry compliance standards, including ISO, AS 9000 quality systems, ISO 10012, AS9100, ISO9001, FAA FAR regulations.
- Strong application knowledge of calibration and metrology systems, including the development, improving, and approving gauging methodologies and design.
