We are a Custom Plastic injection molding company who make parts for food, medical and personal care items & packaging
We have been in business for 36 years and have many long term employees
We are looking for Quality Assurance Inspectors for our 3rd shiftwho have some experience with inspecting parts
This is not just a lab job or an IT position
2 positions for 3rd shift 10:45p-7:15a
Pay range is from $18.00 to start or depends on your experience

Position: Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI)
Reports to: Quality Supervisor, Quality Manager/Director/Engineer
Will have the responsibility of providing our customers with acceptable product according to their standards and ours, by accepting or rejecting product by means of:
Mechanical, visual, start-up, In-process and final inspection of parts for packaging, medical, food and other industries.
You would be assigned to a number of machines that you will have to inspect parts there every 30 to 60 minutes.
You will be required to complete the necessary paperwork and work along with the supervisors to achieve an acceptable part for the customers and traceability
QA inspector will need to be able to perform all of their duties along with special projects that may be assigned to them.
They will follow all of the company policies and procedures in a timely, professional manner.
They must be able to communicate with other employees as well as Supervisors, and Managers
They must be able to make critical decisions as far as if a part will go on hold or not
They must be able to understand the importance of sending good parts to the customer and the repercussions if the customer gets a bad part
Quality Inspectors will have to cross train to work as a Quality Technician, assigned to work on a machine for the shift or help relieve for breaks and lunches
Some requirements:
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English (all manuals, postings and tests are in English)
Have proper documentation for I-9 and be able to pass verifications
Available for weekends (when needed, generally rotating)
Must have good attention to detail
Good attendance is very important
Should have basic computer skills including: Word, Excel, emails etc.
Should have or be willing to learn the basics of AIB, GMP, ISO, SQF with a possibility of becoming an auditor
Able to work as a team as well as individually
Able to use or learn to use, Calipers, Micrometers, Microscopes, gages, & other vision added tools
In the local area to be able to come in for an in person interview
Physical abilities may include but not limited to:
Pushing
Pulling
Lifting boxes from the floor or overhead of up to 20lbs
Repetitive use of hands
Standing and/or walking throughout the shift
Bending
Twisting
Looking at parts (some very small) manually and with the use of visual tools
Conditions of the work area
HQC is air conditioned and heated, but extreme or continuous weather conditions may make the facility very warm or cooler than normal
