PCSI is looking for a Quality Control Inspector at our Food Service contract on Fort Cavazos! The Quality Control Inspector performs inspections in dining facilities associated with PCSI's contract and documents findings according to the site's Quality Control Plan.
We are looking for someone with experience in Food Service, and experience with inspections and/or audits is a plus. This position works on-base on Fort Cavazos and must be able to drive to several dining facilities on base, and must pass screenings to obtain access to buildings via a CAC card.
Benefits Include:
- Base pay of $20.00-$24.00/hr, depending upon experience.
- Annual bonus of up to 6%.
- 21 days of PTO per year, in addition to all federal holidays.

What You'll Do as Quality Control Inspector:
- Reports directly to the Quality Control Manager (QCM), whom in turn reports directly to the Corporate Quality department and is separate from all other PCSI departments.
- Under the direction of the site-specific QCM, this position is responsible for performing quality control inspections and audits to ensure contractual obligations are being met.
- In the absence of a QCM, the QCI has additional oversight and reporting responsibilities.
- Under the direction of the QCM, maintain and fulfill site-specific quality control and, where applicable or as directed by the contract or operations management, environmental and/or safety standards to ensure conformance with contract specifications and any requirements deemed necessary by Corporate.
- Provide additional support, as directed by the QCM. This may include duties outside what may be seen as typical for this type of a role.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience working in Food Services required.
- 2 years of experience as trainer or supervisor preferred.
- Inspection/audit experience preferred.
- Experience with Military Food Service Regulations/Software a plus.
- Experience in an environment that includes workers with disabilities preferred and/or government contract experience preferred.
- Professional food managers certification (Serve Safe Manager level or equivalent) preferred, or ability to obtain certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Requires knowledge of Smart phones, iPads, PC functions and software.
- Basic understanding of windows applications to include MS office (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.).
- Knowledge of web-based inspection systems.
- Ability to manage QCM established priorities.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written format.
- Ability to work as a team member.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening to obtain access to work locations (CAC Card).
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
- Potential exposure to dirt, dust, odors, chemicals, and infectious diseases.
- Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.
- Prolonged standing, walking (up to 90% during working hours) bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
