QUALITY INSPECTOR Purpose: Establish the bridge between the company QA and the Customer associates on the shop floor, for all activities related to quality and customer service, ensuring compliance with all customer requirements including also:
- Build, maintain and provide good relationships with the Customer associates.
- Support the QA with lineside activities like cubing events, audits, sorting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the customer on quality of the product
- Provide support to the QA with the numbers tracking of each inspection
- Inspect and determine disposition of returned glass from field complaints
- Perform inspections according to QA guidelines and Customer Needs.
- Perform any activity related to quality asked by the QA
Requirements(Skills):
- At least 2 years of experience working in Quality or similar role in industrial company
- Ability to detect potential problems with outgoing product
- Good communication, teamwork skills, and problem-solving skills
- Sense of urgency and ability to change focus when emergencies arise
- Ability to work with glass products (preferred automotive experience)
- Must have good attendance
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing work environment or changing tasks
- Must be able to successfully work in a fast-paced warehouse for 8 or more hours
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs
- MS Office basic skills including Excel and Word
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations
- Due to forklifts, products and other equipment traveling through the warehouse the environment can be noisy, dusty, may emit fumes and create excessive vibrations
Expected Hours of Work:
- Must be available during standard operating hours, and work overtime, including weekends
- Start and end times may vary due to operational needs
