OBJECTIVE:
Perform various inspections, measurements and quality checks utilizing proven quality methods and techniques as required to maintain the integrity of our quality system.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Quality – Responsible for being aware of impact on product quality and the importance of activities in achieving, maintaining, and improving quality, including customer requirements and the risks involved for the customer with non-conforming product.
- Effectively work within a team environment.
- Perform measurements including starting up and shutting down using various measurement and test equipment.
- Uses Micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges etc
- Assures that all measuring and testing activities are conducted within the expected degree of precision and accuracy.
- Assure that all incoming, in-process, and outgoing products are of high quality and meet all quality standards, specifications/measurements, visual acceptance criteria, quantity, packaging, identification, labeling, and storage requirements (i.e. perform dock audit functions, receiving inspections, review of first piece…).
- Assure deficient product is adequately identified, quarantined, and properly processed to meet quality standards requirements.
- Documents all data and activities required of the job in a neat, accurate, and legible manner in accordance with established record requirements and document control expectations.
- Assures that applicable Quality Technician responsibilities as defined in our procedures and work instructions are complied with and maintained.
- Successfully acquires and maintains qualifications based on specific outlined qualification levels.
- Maintains safety and housekeeping of Quality areas and equipment at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; Must pass company quality competency test.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical and/or financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires and complaints from customers, work associates, and members of the business community.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
