To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as an Aircraft Maintenance Quality Control Inspector in our Maintenance Department. This position is responsible for performing required inspections, issuing maintenance base work production packages, and performing audits. The successful candidate will hold a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and have at least two years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft, with an air carrier, commercial operator, or certified repair station, one year of which must have been as a certified mechanic. This position reports to the Aircraft Maintenance Quality Control Supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Perform required inspections per Company guidelines
Perform other inspections as required by Inspection workcards
Issue maintenance base work production packages and review upon completion
Observe ongoing aircraft and shop maintenance including completing appropriate paperwork and communicating observations to the lead mechanic
Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel when requested
Perform audits and projects
Maintain and control issued Identification Stamp in accordance with Company guidelines
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
Two years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft, with an air carrier, commercial operator, or certified repair station, one year of which must have been as a certified mechanic
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel including management
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the maintenance of aircraft of the type operated by the Company
Work Environment:
Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
Airport ramp and warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
Available to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally with assistance from co-workers or tools
