Job Description
QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR
Responsible for consistent quality of manufacturing and distribution product and processes by developing, supporting, and implementing good manufacturing practices, conducting inspection and test, and providing applicable documentation of product conformance.
Responsibilities
Ø Conducts inspection and test of product (simple to complex cable harnesses, ruggedized computer equipment, displays, servers, gaskets) throughout production; including receiving, in process, final, first article (FAI), and shipping inspections
Ø Documents results of product conformance inspections and tests
Ø Manages the tool calibration system
Ø Implements quality and customer service requirements
Ø Identifies, analyzes, and resolves problems
Ø Participates in the performance and implementation of corrective action and continuous improvement of processes
Ø Collects data, analyzes, and reports on failures, scrap, non-conforming product, and other quality objectives as assigned
Job Requirements
Ø Experience in electromechanical assembly
Ø Able to interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications
Ø Able to use measuring instruments including calipers; multimeters; micrometers; height, depth, and plug gauges
Ø Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Ø Understands and executes process improvement methods
Ø Self-motivated, team oriented individual with keen attention to detail
Prefer
Ø Electronics experience
Ø Experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing environment a plus
Ø Familiar with ISO/AS quality system environment a plus
Ø Knowledge of IPC 610, 620, and J-STD-001 soldering standards a plus
Ø Proficient in Windows/Microsoft Office computer environment
