The hourly rate for this position is $23.20 per hour. The core hours are 6:30 am - 2:30 pm.

What you’ll do:
The Quality Inspector initiates supplier corrective action process (DMRs/QNs) and follow-up. This position will conduct internal audits, process checks, support the manufacturing departments in the deployment of Eaton Quality System (EQS) elements and Lean Manufacturing Systems and will assist maintenance of calibration and test/data collection.
In this function, you will:
- Inspect finished goods and ensure that they conform to the bill of materials, prints, specifications, test requirements, and customer specific requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints including general knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Troubleshoot non-conformances, product defects, and process scrap utilizing structured problem-solving methodology and tools such as a 5Y.
- Inspect incoming material and initiate supplier corrective action processes (DMRs/QNs) and follow-up.
- Work with hand inspection tools and equipment including thread gages, micrometers, calipers, pin gages, optical comparator and profilometers; will work to train others on these skills.
- Participate in quality data collection activities and process test data.
- Support production personnel on quality related issues, data collection, and measurement tool issues.
- Train operators in quality processes while leading by example with a positive attitude, high productivity and concern for quality and service.
- Perform computer operations: use SAP, Microsoft office tools, Quality Management, and other computer software to access drawing, bills of material and ERP systems.
- Perform layered process audits (LPAs).
- Performs other related tasks and assignments, as necessary.
After demonstrating you can perform the tasks required above, this position also offers a growth plan to become a quality technician. Additional to the responsibilities above, a quality technician performs first article inspections (FAI), assists with Gage Calibration and record keeping, and exhibits advanced knowledge on quality concepts, calibration, and Lean Six Sigma problem solving methodology.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or quality role
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
