Physical Requirements:Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects of up to 25 pounds, standing/walking for long periods of time, working at a computer for extended periods of time
Shift:Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.. In addition, this position is on-call and required to work alternating shifts to provide 2nd and 3rd and weekends when not covered by staff or graduate interns.
Work location: W.T. Young Library
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Finance, Administration, and Operations, the Director of Young Library Circulation provides leadership for the Circulation department and manages day-to-day operations at Young Library. This position has a wide scope of administrative duties including, but not limited to developing policies and procedures, analyzing services and resources, and making recommendations to enhance the user experience. The Director also oversees Young Library facility operations, including managing contract security guards, coordinating with custodial staff and building operators, serving as Assistant Building Emergency Coordinator, and acting as the primary contact for building information. Additionally, the Director works alternating shifts to provide 2nd and 3rd shift and weekend coverage as needed, in coordination with the Assistant Director.
