- 6:30 am - 3 pm Monday – Friday, overtime and weekends as necessary

At Bodycote what we do matters and as a member of our team, what you do matters too. Are you interested in a fast-paced environment where you can learn metallurgy? In this role, you will inspect parts against customer specifications while working with our Quality Managers. In addition, you will:
- Accurately perform hardness and other tests and record results as required
- Perform calibration of all testing equipment accurately and on schedule
- Perform audits, weekly probes, surveys, etc. as needed or defined by procedure and/or schedule
- May be required to complete conformance certificates and/or other related paperwork.
- Promote safety and good housekeeping practices
- This position will allow for cross-training and the development of additional skills
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience in metal components, as an inspector, or working in the heat treating industry preferred, but not required.
- Must have the ability to obtain working knowledge of all testing equipment and terminology
- Some experience reading/interpreting blueprints/specifications is preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented and possess manual dexterity
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required
This position requires the following physical and mental demands consisting of, but not limited to the following:
- Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods in an office/industrial environment
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone
