Sidel is looking for a Quality, Health and Safety Officer to support our Safety and Quality Department by coordinating, supporting and advising on all aspects about Quality and Health and Safety.
- Ensure vigilance on H&S coordination plan availability prior to Field Service Engineers trip for site operations (New equipment and Services)
- Author, implement, and administer appropriate EHS&S policies and programs
- Establish Security Travel Management for all interventions in the Americas region
- Conduct mapping, monitoring, development plan, follow up for training programs related to H&S for employees.
- Secure controlling and vigilance of PPE setup and availabilities for employees
- Execution of audits and consequent correction/improvement plan
- Interact with Sourcing for suppliers' evaluations and correction plans
- Drive Communications and initiatives with other functions linked to H&S for employees
- Track and trend reporting of incidents and calculate injury frequencies for corporate and OSHA compliance
- Complete accident/illness investigations; documenting as is appropriate and communicating with government agencies and vendors
- Lead and facilitate the safety committee
- Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
- Evaluate safety deficiencies, authoring and communicating documentation relative to the same
- Conduct safety training and education programs for OSHA compliance including, NFPA, ANSI and demonstrate the use of safety equipment
- Provide regular reporting for status and escalate critical risk observations
- Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations
- Lead site changes to encourage performance expectations for safe behaviour to guarantee employee safety
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- Fluent level of English
- Spanish or Portuguese is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain quality health and safety topics
- In depth knowledge of legislation of OSHA, EPA ANSI and procedures
- Minimum 5 years of experience teaching Federal OSHA standards that apply to hazards in General Industry
- Availability to travel up to 60% in USA and 10% internationally
- Skilled in performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with OSHA and NFPA safety standards
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing safety programs, procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of Federal, State and local safety regulations, protocols, and/or procedures
- Ability to investigate, analyse information and draw conclusions
- QH&S Certifications
- Beverage Industry experience would be a plus
