Reporting: Quality Hold and Release Supervisor

Location: Tulare, CA

This role reports to the Quality Hold and Release Supervisor. The position is responsible for positive release process for all Tulare product types produced. Able to understand regulatory requirements to ensure a proper review of production records is maintained and meet the company’s specification requirement. Ability to provide our internal customers with real-time product status, perform safety and GMP/housekeeping walkthroughs.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

• Ability to maintain a product control program to ensure all requirements for food safety and quality product are followed.
• Ability to review and Release purchased ingredients and materials received at the plant.
• Work close with Quality systems for up-to-date regulatory changes, updates to HACCP plans, and any food safety changes.
• Create a formal CCP deviation report with the help and alignment of the Quality System Supervisor, to be used for any CCP deviation.
• Ability to manage food safety extraneous and non-extraneous events, and meet with production to ensure corrective and preventative actions are generated and implemented (must be sustainable, and audit at a minimum frequency)
• Ability to work with cross functional groups to maximize product quality and productivity.
• Ensure all CCPs and OPRPs documents are verified and if any deficiencies are found are corrected immediately.
• Ability to maintain a positive release program to ensure all requirements based on HACCP, CDFA, FDA, FSSC are followed.
• Perform routine, documented Quality checks, and escalate any deficiencies and non-compliance findings to the Quality leadership team.
• Requires working with other lab technicians, line coordinators, line operators, logistics, and other production personnel.
• Ability to perform other assigned work responsibilities by Supervisor.
