SalaryJob Summary:
This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment in addition to other duties at the Bluffton Stone Quarry.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading primary crusher in a continuous fashion in a load and carry operation with a loader
- Operating other types of heavy equipment on the property such as skid steer, haul truck, etc.
- Working safely while following safety rules and MSHA regulations.
- Performing preventative maintenance as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience operating heavy equipment required.
- Mechanical skills preferred.
- Appropriate communication skills necessary to effectively interact with customers, fellow employees, and other guests at the property
- Willingness to learn, having a positive attitude, dependable, and being a team player highly desired
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Ability to work extended hours (including Saturday).
