Position Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description: Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. Design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products. Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. Ensure compliance with in-house or external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma). Responsible for the finished product inspection of electrical products. Lead the 8D methodology when an issue is detected at the production lines. Plan, design, develop, and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Evaluate reliability of materials, properties, and techniques used in production; plans, designs and develop electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, optical systems, or DSP systems.
Job Requirements: Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience as an Engineer or in a related field. Experience must include:
Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
Working with 8D methodology;
Working with 6 Sigma Green Belt;
Working with 5S;
Working on PDCA;
Customer returns analysis by collaborating with the multi-disciplinary teams;
Leading structured 8D problem solving on plant level quality non-conformances;
Identifying quality issues from a production standpoint and implementing improvements.
40 hours/week, 8:00am-5:00pm.
