Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Quality Data Engineer to support the Fort Worth, TX, landing Gear Site. As a member of the Quality Excellence Team, this professional is continuously improving quality systems and processes through data analytics and drives improvements through novel technological solutions and industry best practices. This member will help solve complex challenges that span quality functions and roles within the business by maintaining existing technology stacks, implementing new software tools and packages, and managing new digital technology development within the Quality organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implements cross-functional quality solutions through identifying process gaps and potential improvements and recommending solutions, which may include modification of existing software tools, creating new software tools, and identification/implementation of novel software packages to replace legacy software.
  • Oversight of organizational process and software development, implementation, and adoption through structured change management
  • Manage data analytics transformation projects within the business and act as a key stakeholder for broader digital transformations within the Collins organization.
  • Perform requirements gathering for new software adoption.
  • Perform gap analyses to identify cross-functional opportunities for improvement within the business.
  • Research, analyze, and model business generated data to lead process improvement efforts.
  • Create and manage business decision-making statistical forecasting models and data representations.
  • Understands ITAR requirements and processes to remain complaint during solutions development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a technical field with software development training & and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated coding experience with Python (scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Bokeh, FB Prophet)
  • Demonstrated experience of machine learning (forecasting, classification, and regression), data architecture (DataBricks, SQL), and data mining.
  • Demonstrated experience in an analytics platform such as Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, etc.
  • Demonstrated experienced SQL and Access database development.
  • Demonstrated experience creating presentations on data and analytical findings for both technical and leadership stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics and advanced digital tools.
  • Experienced at developing data reports within business tools, i.e., SAP ERP, PLMs, Quality Data Interfaces
  • Proficient at software requirements gathering, solution identification, and driving implementation and adoption across various functional groups.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum processes preferred.
  • AWS Cloud (Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3) experience is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
