MAPEI is looking for a Quality Control Technician. As a Quality Technician with MAPEI, you will utilize your chemistry lab skills to perform tests, set up experiments, and collaborate across the nationwide Mapei quality function. The Quality Team works continually with a goal to establish and monitor specific quality standards within the building products industry for the Mapei Organization. MAPEI Corporate Video.
Total hourly payrate up to $22 (commensurate with experience) plus premium shift differential: $1.00 p/hr for 2nd shift and $2.00 p/hr for 3rd Shift.
We are currently hiring for 3rd Shift (11pm to 7:30pm)
The role
- Prepare and perform various tests samples on raw materials and finished.
- Identify and investigate abnormal test results, conducting root cause analysis.
- Prepare and record documents that report the results of lab work.
- Work closely with local operations with a specific emphasis in supporting the production leadership teams.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
- To be successful in this role you should be willing to get your hands dirty a bit.
- You must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Industry experience within chemicals and/or manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills.
- You should be proficient and comfortable with computers.
- Have the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- You must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be available for overtime as needed and able to accommodate the designated shift hours as assigned in the offer: 1st shift (7am to 3:30pm), 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30p) and 3rd Shift (11pm to 7:30am).
