Quality Specialist
Scope:
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve the company's final products and processes in order to meet established quality standards. The quality specialist will support execution of the non-conformance reporting system by logging new non-conformances (NCR), drive resolutions by contacting customers and vendors, assisting with root cause determination and corrective actions, create and issue Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) to vendors, and ensure NCRs are closed on a timely basis. This detail-oriented person will also support key elements of the Quality Management System outlined in the responsibilities below.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality is assured and controlled by conducting inspections on both incoming and outgoing products. Provide final Quality Approval for inspected orders.
- Maintain QMS documentation including metrics, processes, procedures, work instructions, etc. Edit documentation as needed to ensure suitability.
- Follow up on and provide closure to logged NCRs and SCARs.
- Represent Wilson Company when responding to customer reports of non-conformances.
- Identify and fill gaps in the quality management system.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities.
- Identifying and resolving workflow and production issues.
- Ensuring that standards and safety regulations are observed.
- Addressing and discussing issues and proposed solutions with superiors.
- Documenting quality assurance activities and creating audit reports.
- Making recommendations for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· 1-2 years’ experience in a quality related function or role.
· Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
· Working knowledge of administering a non-conformance reporting system.
· Understanding of quality concepts and tools such as continuous improvement, process mapping, and root cause analysis.
· Strong skills in the use of the MS Office Suite of applications including working with data using MS Excel.
· Flowcharting with Visio preferred.
· Experience with MS Sharepoint preferred.
· Experience with measuring devices including counting scales and caliper sets.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a cross-functional team including engineering, production, and distribution.
- Certificate in quality assurance is a plus.

· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Experience and/or Education Level:
· Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Pay: $39,846.66 - $47,987.38 per year
