Quality Control Specialist

Job Description:

COMPLIANCE/RISK/INTERNAL AUDIT COORDINATOR, MIT Federal Credit Union, to perform daily and monthly compliance review activities to ensure validity and fraud prevention across the organization, and assist with various Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and compliance functions.  Responsibilities include coordinating with external auditors and federal examiners to schedule audits and exams, including assigning responsibilities to MITFCU employees, gathering and organizing requested materials for auditors/examiners, coordinating technology and physical security needs, participating in kick-off and exit interviews, tracking audit finding resolution, and providing reports to the board of directors; performing annual Borrower-In-Custody (BIC) loan audit and preparing reporting; managing the WolfPAC Risk Management Solutions database to ensure complete and accurate recording of all audit or exam findings and report out to the supervisory committee; reviewing various daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports; performing daily BSA/fraud reviews; communicating on lingering issues and providing recommendations for improvement; reviewing accounts payable; reviewing published CD and savings rates on the web and core system; reviewing and responding to any risk and/or compliance areas of concern that may arise in the member service or operations areas; updating and maintaining the red flag tracking log; complying with all MIT and MITFCU policies and procedures and state and federal laws; completing required BSA/AML training and additional training as needed; and utilizing opportunities to present to and/or refer current and potential members to the MITFCU’s products and services. 

Job Requirements: REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ relevant work experience in the financial services field, preferably in accounting, finance, internal audit, and/or risk management; and working knowledge of BSA/AML policies/procedures and ability to implement as necessary.  Job #23477-7
