Position Overview:
NexGen Contracting is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Quality Control Lead to play a pivotal role in upholding and enhancing our concrete construction projects' technical and quality standards. This role involves collaborating closely with company and field leadership to develop and implement strategies that ensure the highest quality outcomes, aligning with NexGen’s business goals and objectives. The Quality Control Lead will drive value through innovative Quality Control practices and technologies, enhance project outcomes, and establish a sustainable competitive advantage for NexGen Concrete in the industry.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management or related field from an accredited college or university and 4 years of experience, or 8 years of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· In-depth knowledge of ACI and ASTM standards related to concrete construction.

· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey quality standards and practices.

· Committed to maintaining the highest quality standards in all aspects of construction.

· Current ACI Certifications are preferred but not required.

· Travel as required, up to 100% of the time depending on project locations and demands.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and oversee Quality Control procedures and standards for concrete construction.

· Prepare project-specific quality management plans based on project requirements and contract documents.

· Review submittals for potential quality implications and provide recommendations.

· Verify compliance of products, methods, and materials with NexGen's quality standards, contract documents, and approved submittals.

· Produce reports based on observations, metrics, and KPIs as required.

· Facilitate lessons learned or after-action meetings to discuss quality-related wins and losses.

· Assist in the development and updating of NexGen's Quality Management System.

· Conduct regular on-site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, and other relevant standards.

· Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality standards and best practices.

· Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
