Quality Control Inspector II

Job Title:Quality Control Inspector IIFLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Department: Quality Assurance Reports To: Distribution/QA Mgr.

Salary Range: $19.00-$25.00 Last Review Date: 2/19/2024

American International Tooling is actively hiring for Quality Control Inspector II. We have experienced unprecedented growth and require qualified applicants. We're located in Minden, NV. This is a full-time, day-shift position generally working Monday through Friday from 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.

General Summary

The Quality Control Inspector II performs Quality Control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects and measures materials, parts, and products at different stages of production. Being a Quality Control Inspector II records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Measures manufactured products to assure conformance with requirements and specifications.

· Measures new parts to evaluate adaptation to the company’s products.

· Perform quality tests on products and prepare specification test reports.

· Ensure a first article, in-process, and final inspection is performed on each production run.

· Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards.

· Recording inspection results by completing reports (NCMR), summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database.

· Removing products that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality.

· Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team.

· Training the production team on Quality Control measures to improve product excellence.

· Proposing improvements to the quality and production process

· Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discarding any that does not meet requirements.

· Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.

· Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.

· Be proficient in the operation of various micrometers, height gauges, calibers, Keyence measuring equipment, and CMM.

· Thorough knowledge of Quality Control standards and testing methodology.

· Regularly required to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel product for burrs or surface finish.

· Frequently required to walk and stand; reach with hands and arms.

· Occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.

· Frequently lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

· Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus, occasional microscope work is required.

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or GED

· Minimum 5+ years’ experience

· Training in general safety
