Responsibilities:
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be using your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and ready to ship product meet all quality requirements. You will be responsible to visually inspect our materials, parts, and products at different stages of production for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. You'll develop, apply, revise and maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process and Final Inspection.
Must-haves:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings
- Quality Assurance Inspector I with 1+ years' experience in a Manufacturing Quality environment
- 1+ years mechanical inspection background with ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges etc.)
- As required by site, knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of higher precision measuring or Non-Destructive Evaluation equipment.
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office
Prefered:
- IPC 610, 620, J-Std-01
- Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings
- Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)
- Experience with receiving/finished goods inspection
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Basic understanding of material flow in Operations
- Experience drafting work instructions and SOP's
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required
