GA Telesis Engine Services, LLC (GATES) is building a dedicated commercial jet engine maintenance facility located in Wilmington, Ohio. GATES will provide a wide array of engine maintenance services and testing to support airlines around the world.
The Quality Control Inspector plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards while complying with GAT processes. This position is responsible for performing incoming and outgoing inspections of aircraft parts and materials along with required production procedures. Reporting to the Director of Quality, the ideal individual should be quality-oriented and attention to detail, self-motivated, reliable, and able to multi-task, to perform each essential duty satisfactorily to meet quality product expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a complete visual inspection of all articles that are maintained
- Ensure products meet company standards before they are sent out or placed on the inventory shelves
- Handling material with necessary precaution and in accordance with requirements for safe handling
- Review material specifications to compare to inventory parts
- Ensures production and processes adhere to standards with legal requirements
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting a visual inspection, and communicating required adjustments to the supervisor
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs for quality assurance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-3 years Quality Control Inspector experience
- Must be A&P Certificated under 14 CFR Part 65
- Familiar with 14CFR part 145, part 43
- Proficient in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspected
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as basic mathematical skills
- Understand, read, and write English
- Possess strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with Quantum Software
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
